The journey

Four nights is enough for Amboseli, and this itinerary uses them well. You are in position for the dawn and dusk windows when Kilimanjaro clears, and close to the swamps where the elephants gather through the heat of the day.

It works as a standalone short break or as the opening leg of a longer Kenyan route.

Highlights

  • Big tusker bulls on the Amboseli pans
  • Kilimanjaro at dawn from Observation Hill
  • A private conservancy night with walking and night driving
  • A relaxed final night in a Nairobi garden hotel
